The Centre Pompideau (often called "Beaubourg" because of the square surrounding it)
is the Modern Art museum.

To enter, you must go up the long, external escalator,and from the top, the views of Paris are wonderful.
And the huge Beauboug plaza alway active with street performers and the delightful fountain, below.

Here are a few photos taken in the museum. Generally, I liked the Art presented much more than the last time I saw this museum.


This was a 5 minute, rapid movement film of a man painting
a green room, blue. You watched to see how he'd get out. He did.

The back of the museum is an amazing art object all it's own. Our apartment was just around the corner from this building.

 

A small house-museum in our neighborhood was called,
Cognac-Jay House. It has some charming antiques.
