Tallinn, Estonia

September 4, 2008

We weren’t even sure what country Tallinn was in, so we had no idea what to expect.  It turned out to be an absolutely charming, small city, with much of the medieval architecture still remaining.

The rest has been spruced up to become a beautiful tourist town, with lots of shops, restaurants and photo ops.

After the 2 day tour of St. Petersburg, we were happy to stroll around and discover this city on our own.

We each bought a winter hat from the first stall.

This huge, modern sculpture represents the break in Estonia, during the Soviet regime.
