The last major city on our tour
and although there wasn’t that much to do, the main event, The Mezquita (an ancient mosque with a cathedral inside it) |

First, on the drive to get there
was a surprise encounter. We saw a castle on a hill and in
trying to get a good shot of it, we had to go up
into a town. Since we were that high up, we
decided to go all the way and were very pleased with what we found. |

Córdoba itself had some
interesting sights, but not enough to fill the two days we were there.

didn’t have much hope for, |

But the main event was
breathtaking! The Mezquta
was a huge mosque which the Spanish decided not to destroy to build their
cathedral. Instead they built it inside the
mosque, leaving all the beauty of the Islamic art. |
